Virginia Pest Control License
There are several steps one must remember when trying to get a Virginia pest control license. The first step you need to take is:
- Making sure you qualify for the time commitments. Each state has a certain number of years you have to have in the industry in order to qualify for your own upper level Virginia pest control license. In the state of Virginia you have to 1 year in order to get your pest control or termite Commercial Applicator license. This license allows you to open your doors from a pesticide stand point. You don’t have a Commercial Applicator license in the state of Virginia, and you technically can’t open your doors for business. If you do, and you get caught, there are some serious fines and you risk the chance of ever getting your own Virginia pest control license.
- Look up the times for the prep courses to help you study for the examination. There are multiple courses so make sure you find the course that deals with the Virginia pest control license you desire. These tests can be very challenging so you will need to also set aside some time to every day to study and prepare for the exam as they can cost a good chunk of money – you want to pass it the first time.
- Next look up the dates for the test in your area and schedule a time/ reserve your spot. Remember to pay the fees associated with the test related to Virginia pest control license.
- Take the test, then check with the state to make sure your exam was accepted and that they have it. Ask to know when you will be able to know your score, if they don’t give it to you immediately.
- Once you have your score and you pass, check with the state to see what the next steps are to get your Virginia pest control license or Commercial Applicator license; then pay the fees and you are on your way.
NOTE: Each of these steps can take several weeks, so get on this check list asap so that you are waiting several months to get your license and losing out on a lot of money you could have been earning.
