Get Your Pest Control Operator License

The terminology is different for each state so when looking to obtaining a Pest Control Operators license you need to check the state website to know first the name of the license you are trying to get and an understanding of what the requirements are.  Each state has specific requirements that each operator or applicator must follow in order to obtain these pest control operators licenses.  Most states require at least 1 year of experience in order to qualify for a pest control operator license, while others require up to 4-5 years.  Also remember that if you have had the pest control operator license in other states you may claim reciprocity. Reciprocity is where your years of experience transfer over to another state.  Again each state may vary as to what the requirements after that may be but for the most part you’ll just have to pay the fees to get the license.  Another requirement may be that you have to take the tests before you can get the operators license.  Check the state agricultural department webpage for a complete list of all this information.
